Does anybody know of any car hire companies operating in the Canary islands which don't demand a credit card?

I am trying to rent a car in Fuerteventura, but all the comopanies demand a credit card for security. I don't borrow and consequently don't have one. am going in a week so to late to get one just for this instance. Anybody know of any that accept debit cards instead????????
