How much does he love me?

My boyfriend is very romantic and sweet, but I would say he is not attentive and non involved at this point. The way he says he loves me could make me cry. But he avoids seeing me when I have a cold. Also, he doesn't share his past much, maybe he is too careful, given his ex held his past against him? But I feel he is not open up to me. He lives alone, besides making out in his house, he hasn't invited me for cooking gethering or that type of stuff. I invided him over to my place for dinner (I have family members), but he made an excuse to avoid it (he leaves it open in the future). Well, we have been dating for 5 months, I think his actions are lesser than the love he claims for me. I told him if we stop , I would not have his love anymore. Well, he was upset that I have a 2nd guess about his love for me. He loves me, but not much at this point? what do you think?
